John currently plays for the Oshawa Generals, an OHL team with an extremely strong hockey program (alumni include Bobby Orr and Eric Lindros). John Tavares is currently being scouted for the 2009 NHL entry draft, and is expected to go first overall.

Tavares could be “the next one”, with a career similar to the current mega stars such as Sidney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin!
